LAST SALUTE: Chief minister Nitish Kumar pays tribute to the mortal remains of Congress leader and former Union minister LP Shahi on Sunday.

Shahi died on Saturday at the age of 98. Nitish visited Shahi's house on Boring Road and consoled the leader's family members.

The chief minister also attended the funeral at Digha Ghat, where Congress legislature party leader Sadanand Singh, Bihar Pradesh Congress Committee president in-charge Kaukab Quadri, All India Congress Committee Bihar in-charge Shaktisinh Gohil, former minister Narendra Singh, former state Congress president Anil Sharma, Rajya Sabha member Akhilesh Prasad Singh, rural development minister Shrawan Kumar, MLC Prem Chandra Mishra and several others were present.
