Patna: Anticipating all is not well in the NDA, RJD leader Tejashwi Prasad Yadav on Sunday gave an open invitation to RLSP chief Upendra Kuswhaha to join the Grand Alliance of the RJD, Congress and the Hindustani Awam Morcha Secular (HAMS).

"Today I am giving an open invitation to Upendra Kushwaha ji to join our Grand Alliance. I know that he is being subjected to stepmotherly treatment in the NDA and is facing humiliation for the past few years. Kushwahaji represents a good chunk of the population but no one fromhis community was made a cabinet minister in the Narendra Modi government," Tejashwi said, while addressing an event of the Kaanu Vikas Sangh Bihar at Bapu Sabhagar.

Tejashwi had earlier said if Kushwaha makes up his mind, he would contemplate of an alliance.

Tejashwi, however, on Sunday said the BJP never took any notice of Kushwaha's calibre and has neglected him but the time has come to take a firm decision.

"Kushwaha ji comes from a background of social justice and now it is up to him to take the side of either Godse and Golwalkar or Gandhi and Ambedkar. The BJP wants to destroy the Constitution and now time has come to join hands to save it," Tejashwi said.

Kushwaha on the other hand refused to accept Tejashwi's offer claiming that the RJD is on the verge of collapse and he was not bothered what Tejashwi was talking about him. He went on to say he will remain with the NDA and there is no rift in the alliance.

"I am hardly bothered about what Tejashwi is saying about me. In reality, the vote bank of the RJD is on the verge of collapse. I am happy with the NDA and will remain with the NDA. Our Prime Minister Narendra Modi is doing good work," Kushwaha said during an Iftar party organised by him at Anjuman Islamia Hall in Patna on Sunday.
