Governor DY Patil offers prayers at Takht Harmandir Sahib, the birthplace of Sri Guru Gobind Singh, at Patna City on Monday. Earlier in the day, Patil released the first two volumes of the book, Historic Patna, at Raj Bhavan. Written by Mithilesh Kumar and MR Kazimi, the book has details of 45 heritage buildings and 22 localities of the capital. The authors are in the process of bringing out more volumes in the series, covering buildings, paintings and important personalities of Patna. “The books will come handy to students and research scholars,” the authors said in the release.
