Earlier, the DM and the SSP said tight security arrangements had been made in and around the Mahabodhi Mahavihara for the two lakh pilgrims expected to attend the Kalchakra puja.Around 3,000 police personnel will be deployed for security from January 2 to 14. The Dalai Lama will arrive in Bodhgaya on Wednesday to lead the puja.Every nook and corner of the Mahavihara, the Kalchakra ground (around 200m northwest of the Mahavihara) and other places around Bodhgaya have been placed under constant surveillance of closed-circuit television cameras.A control room has been set up on the campus of the Bodhgaya Temple Management Committee, which will be manned round-the-clock by three shifts of officers.
