Chief minister Nitish Kumar would launch a book on Champaran written by Bettiah superintendent of police Nishant Tewari during Thursday’s inauguration of Bihar Divas celebrations in the state capital.
Titled Celebrating Bihar: The Charm of Champaran, the book highlights the history and beauty of the region.
An IPS officer, Tewari, had earlier worked as a software engineer in the country and abroad. Named the best probationer of the 2005 batch of IPS officers, he has been awarded by the President with the Election Commission of India’s Zonal Award for Best Electoral Practices.
