| Teachers and students attend induction ceremony of Magadh Mahila College in Patna on Monday. Besides talking about the history and culture of the institute, the college grievance redressal cell convener, Shashi Sharma, spoke about the rules and regulations the students are expected to follow at the college. Sharma emphasised on the dress norm, which the college implemented on Monday, when it announced that sleeveless tops and jeans would not be allowed on the campus. “The students should not dress up in a provocative manner. They should ensure that they do not look vulgar. Students should be comfortable wearing such apparels,” she said. The teacher also said that the guardians would be formally informed about the dress code at a meeting on August 20. Sharma added that there would be one-to-one talk with students, where they would be told about the dress code. “If a student is wearing slacks, they should keep in mind that the kurta should be long. Similarly, students will be asked not come to college wearing sleeveless tops and jeans,” she added. The induction programme was headed by college principal Dolly Sinha and attended by other teachers. Text by Roshan Kumar, picture by Ashok Sinha |
