The Indian Institute of Management (IIM)-Bodhgaya has entered into a tie-up with Harvard Business School (HBS), Boston (US).

The IIM will subscribe to the case studies of HBS that students would go through.

IIM-Bodhgaya assistant manager programmes Alok John said: "The IIM will subscribe to as many case studies as possible. Against subscription of the case studies, IIM-Bodhgaya will pay HBS."

Case studies make concept clearer. As the cases are of different nature, students get variety in learning.

In India learning through case studies started at IIM-Ahmedabad and Bangalore. Now, these institutions develop their own case studies.

"Hopefully, students of this B-school would be developing their own case studies in near future," John said.

Siddharth Shukla of 2015-17 batch said: "Through case studies we get a clear vision about situations. It inspires us to develop our own case studies. By going through the case studies students will also get an opportunity to develop management skills. IIM-Bodhgaya is offering several educational training programmes and the tie-up with Harvard Business School is a part of that. It is a matter of pride to tie up with HBS, the most prestigious management institution across the globe that was established in 1908, he said.

In the 2016-18 session a total of 54 students, including three girls, took admission. Students, who got admission here, had cleared the Common Admission Test (CAT).

Students from Uttar Pradesh, Bengal, Delhi, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Karnataka, Odisha, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Gujarat, Telangana, Assam, Kerala are part of the session. The IIM had started on August 31, 2015, with 30 students (all boys) in the first session.

IIM Bodhgaya is running from the first floor of the directorate of distance education from the Magadh University Bodhgaya headquarters.
