Gaya Engineering College on Wednesday inaugurated two hostels of 150 beds each.
The hostels came up for the first time since the college started in 1981.
State science and technology minister Shahid Ali Khan on Wednesday inaugurated the newly constructed hostel buildings named Siddhartha and Buddha and also a workshop during a function organised on the campus.
Around 1,200 students have been enrolled at the college in four different trades — civil, mechanical, electrical and computer science. In the two newly constructed hostels, only 400 students could be accommodated.
The rest will have to stay in private hostels or other rented accommodations.
