The entry price and other facility rates at Patna zoo have been hiked, applicable from August 16.

The entry rate now stands at Rs 15 for children (three to 12 years) from the earlier Rs 10 and from Rs 15 to Rs 20 for adults. The hourly charges for a two-seater boat ride have been increased from Rs 75 to Rs 80, while a four-seater ride will now cost Rs 100, up by Rs 10. The charges for daylong film shoots have been increased from Rs 15,000 to Rs 25,000.

Zoo director S. Chandrashekhar said: “The decision to hike prices was taken by the zoo’s rate fixation committee.”
