
Minister of state for railways Manoj Sinha reviews construction work of the Rs 2363-crore rail-cum-road bridge on the Ganga in Munger on Monday. Satisfied with the progress, Sinha discussed land problems with the railway officials and public representatives who accompanied him on the review visit. The minister requested everybody present to help the Indian Railways solve land acquisition problems in construction of the approach road of the project, approved in the 1997-98 financial year. Sinha went around in a steamer on Monday morning to inspect the project's progress. He also inspected the northern end of the project site over the Ganga. He was accompanied by Munger MP Veena Devi, Begusarai MP Bhola Singh, former parliamentarian Surajbhan Singh, East Central Railway general manager AK Mittal, chief administrative officer LM Jha, Danapur divisional railway manager AK Gupta and Sonepur divisional railway manager Rajesh Tiwari.
