Patna, Oct. 13: Had you been waiting for the right time to buy electronic items, here you are.
Companies have started pouring offers to promote sales with an eye on the festive season, which began with the Durga Puja and ends with Chhath.
Almost all companies are trying to draw customers by offering something on every purchase of each electronics item.
The dealers are expecting sales to go up by at least 20 to 25 per cent in October and November in comparison to last year when sales were badly affected by the economic slowdown.
Companies offering various incentives include Whirlpool, Onida, Videocon, Sony, and Samsung among others.

The incentives range from scratch cards to prizes like home theatre and LCD TV.
“Almost all the companies including Onida, Videocon, LG, Samsung are giving direct to home (DTH) free on every purchase of television sets,” said Azim of Sangeeta Electronics.
Azim said: “Onida is offering Big TV free with two and half year’s warranty on the purchase of television sets besides a scratch card with a minimum guarantee of getting something besides TV, LCD, microwave oven, Rs 5,000 as cash.”
He said that even LG, Whirlpool had come up with their offers.
The offer began with the start of the Durga Puja and will end with the Dhanteras, considered to be an auspicious day for any purchase.
Asked about the response of the buyers, owner of Sangeeta electronics Puran Mal Agrawal said: “Most of the people are making inquiries about the offers, but the sales will catch up once Deepawli approaches.”
Agarwal pointed out that during Durga Puja there are usually no great demands, and it picks up only during Diwali.
