The facility was inaugurated on Friday. Fifty-year-old Bharti Devi, 55-year-old Nath and 70-year-old Shiv Shankar Sahu were the patients taken to the cath lab on Friday to check if they required heart surgeries. 'We did not charge the patients for the angiography at the cardiac cath lab on Friday. This was our gift to them. From Saturday, the procedure will come at a cost. Patients would be charged but it would be lesser than what is taken at private health hubs,' said IGIMS medical superintendent Dr Shahi. Dr Singh said: 'We will charge Rs 5000 for angiography which costs around Rs 40000 in private hospitals' Text by Shuchismita Chakraborty, picture by Ashok Sinha
