Madhubani, July 17: A person accused of raping a minor with two others has been arrested today. His aides are still absconding.

The arrested person, Mohammad Sadam, and his aides Salim Ansari and Ahmed Ansari allegedly took the 13-year-old victim to a forest of Rajakbabu village near Edgah and gangraped her on Friday around 8pm.

Sources said the victim was on her way to a shop when on Friday night when the trio intercepted her. They forcefully took her to the nearby forest and raped her.

District superintendent of police Saurabh Kumar told The Telegraph: “One person has been arrested and raids are on to arrest the other two.”

The victim’s father said: “I am seething in anger. My daughter has slipped into mental trauma.”
