Advertisement gurus would have a hard time coming up with punchlines for products like “hair-fall shampoo” or “food that makes you hungry” but not students in Patna.

They had a blast on Friday at St Dominic Savio’s High School devising catchphrases for such bizarre products at Dexterity Global, the popular school fest organised by non-government youth organisation We Aim High.

“This is the first time I took part in such an event. It was a lot of fun,” said Akanksha Priya, a Class XII student of Don Bosco Academy.

On Friday, more than 750 students took part in competitive events like quiz, impact (short play), singing, dancing and advertisement writing.

In its fifth year, the fest retained its glitz despite missing We Aim High founder and CEO Sharad Vivek Sagar. Studying in the US at present, he addressed the audience over video-conferencing from Boston.

“The show is on though Sharad has gone to the US,” said IAS officer Pratyaya Amrit, who was one of the guests at the event. “Students always have a big role to play in the society, and events like these are an opportunity to showcase their talent.”

Core-committee members of the organisation Suvam Anurag and Saurabh Choudhary conducted the event with élan. One of the highlights of the day was the quiz conducted by Chennai-based chemical engineering student Mohammed Ali Khan.

While Notre Dame Academy won the event, Loyola High School came a close second. St Dominic Savio’s High School clinched the third prize.
