Patna: An FIR was lodged with the Naubatpur police station in Patna after the police ascertained the identity of four youths allegedly involved in a gang-rape, the video of which went viral last week.

An IPS officer (probationer) Lipi Singh has been made investigating officer. Lipi, daughter of bureaucrat-turned politician R.C.P Singh, is officiating as station house officer of Naubatpur police station.

IG (Patna zone) Nayyar Hasnain Khan said raids were on to nab the four suspects. The girl's statement will be recorded in court on Monday and action taken accordingly.

The IG assessed the progress in the investigation at a meeting with police officials on Saturday. Khan said the accused would be arrested at the earliest.

Last month, a Jehanabad girl was allegedly gang raped and a video made by two minor boys. The police later lodged a case and arrested 13 offenders, including eight minors. "Such incidents are very shocking," Khan told the cops and asked them to take measures.
