Fancy new avatar

Around 150 students of BD Public School participate in a fancy dress competition on Saturday. They were marked on their costumes and an extempore speech based on the characters they came dressed as. Popular avatars included that of nurses, doctors, bandits, Lord Ganesh, Goddess Saraswati, policemen, politicians and pundits. The school choir welcomed school director Sheo Bihari Roy and principal Madhavi Kumari, who also presented the awards. "The competition was a learning experience for the students and such events encourages students to interact with each other," said Roy.
