Government engineers on Sunday threatened to go on an indefinite strike if their demands were not fulfilled.
Bihar Engineering Services Association (Besa) general secretary Rajeshwar Mishra said: “The engineers are being treated like slaves. If our demands are not accepted, we shall go on an indefinite strike from February 6, 2013.”
The first engineers’ conclave would be held in Patna on January 27.
Besa has charted a 17-point list of demands, which includes revised pay scale according to the Sixth Pay Commission of the Union government.
