The state government is giving final touches to the e-Bihar Summit that is likely to be attended by some top information technology (IT) minds.

Sources in the IT department told The Telegraph on Thursday that experts such as National Association of Software and Services Companies (Nasscom) president R. Chandrashekhar, Manipal Global Education chairman Mohandas Pai, department of electronics and information technology secretary R.S Sharma and Software Technology Parks of India (STPI) founder B.V. Naidu, also chairman & CEO, Sagitaur Ventures India Pvt Limited, are expected at the two-day event from February 19.

Topics to be discussed include possibilities, scope and advantages of IT investments. An official said: 'A majority of sectors in Bihar, including industries and IT, is facing land availability problems. Unless solved, investments will be hard to come by.'

Last week, Union communications and IT minister Ravishankar Prasad had said Bihar should provide land to open the electronic cluster for manufacturing electronic goods and setting up IT units or the state would lag behind other states in IT.
