Patna, Dec. 22: Don’s run ended today in the state capital. The Don himself admitted.

“Don ko pakadna bahut mushkil hai… lekin Patna walon ne pakad liye… tan tana...,” said Shah Rukh Khan, whose Don 2 would hit theatres tomorrow.

In town to promote the film, King Khan made the “honest confession” in front of reporters at a city hotel. When his fans learnt about it, they were floored.

Around 3,000 of them were at the airport. Another 5,000 and odd were jostling for space at JP roundabout, near the hotel.

Don was in the city with Priyanka Chopra, the leading lady of his latest film, director Farhan Akhtar and producer Ritesh Sidhwani.

Take I

“I asked Priyanka to stay back in Mumbai. But she did not listen,” said Shah Rukh. He also praised Farhan for his dynamic character .

With a smart ponytail and black leather jacket, white tee and sunglasses on, Shah Rukh said: “I have visited many places and I always thought people elsewhere loved me. This is my first visit to Patna, but when I saw the fans here I was stunned. I realised that people here love me more than those of any other place.”

On the cancellation of his December 13 trip, Shah Rukh said: “I could not come last time as there was some problem. But I am happy to be here before the release of my film.”

SRK had no hesitation in saying: “The real Don is Amitabhji.”

Take II

Bollywood beauty and former Miss World Priyanka said: “I was born and brought up in Jamshedpur. So I treat Patna as my own city. I am happy to be here.”

On asked why SRK calls her Junglee Billi (wild cat) in both the Don movies and how junglee she was, Priyanka giggled: “Woh to mein hun hi… kyunki mein yahan ki hun (that I am… because I belong to this place).”

She added: “Shah Rukh says so because I am a cop in the film.”

Back to Mumbai, she tweeted: “Just landed back from Patna… final leg of promotions over… was too much fun… thank u so much for all ur love phew… now butterflies… #Don2.”

Take III

After the actors, the director came to the forefront. Farhan said: “We have been working on this film for two years. It is a sequel and not a remake. So, the story will be a little different and so will be the climax. There is only one similarity and that is the characters of the film.”

News meet over, a reporter asked SRK when would be his next visit. “Pehle mujhe yahan se jane to do, tabhi to ayunga (first let me go, then only I will return),” the Don said.

All was still not over.

Keeping in mind his fans waiting outside, he went to the terrace of the hotel and waved at them.

He even posed in his signature style before he left for his film’s premiere in Mumbai tonight.
