Patna: All India Federation of Government Doctors Association (AIFGDA) has sought for uniform pay structure and service conditions for doctors across the country.
The association, which comprises doctors from all over the country, has demanded that doctors' suggestions should be incorporated in government health policies. It has also demanded for assessing impact of public-private collaboration in the health sector, reservation for MBBS doctors, who are working in health services in postgraduate courses of government medical colleges.
The two-day executive committee meeting of AIFGDA, which concluded here on Sunday, saw participation of government doctors from across the country. The doctors enlisted their charter of demands from theRajesh Khyaliya said the Union government has still not taken suggestions from doctors for the proposed All India Medical Service Cadre that would be called as Indian Medical Service (IMS). . Our suggestion has also not been taken for the National Medical Commission (NMC) which is supposed to replace Medical Council of India (MCI). All the issues need to be discussed with the government," said Khyaliya .
