A few clubs in Patna have roped in Delhi, Mumbai and Punjab-based disc jockeys for dandiya and garba dances this festivity. Some social establishments have even added games for couples and surprise gifts to their dandiya and garba schedules.
SAV Entertainments is organising a four-day dandiya night - The Great Indian Fest - in which DJ Yogi, DJ Avi J, Sukh-E (of Musical Doctorz fame), DJ Shrey Sean, DJ Hitesh and DJ Reshma will make people groove to their tunes from October 7 to 10 at Lady Stephenson Hall.
If you have two left legs, you can use your hands instead. There will be pizza, burger, momo, chat, golgappa stalls for the foodies.
"Entry to The Great Indian Fest will be through combo pass, which is available at hotel Panache or one can avail it by dialling 9599926169 and 7631432489," said Gunjan, one of the organisers.
For a single pass, one has to shell out Rs 1,000, for a couple pass, you have to pay Rs 1,500.
For those who want to beat the heat with dandiya sticks, can opt for Hungama World Water and Amusement Park on the Danapur-Bihta road. They are organising "Kolkata Durgo Fest" from October 8 to October 10.
"In Calcutta, dandiya nights organised in water parks are common. We are trying to bring the culture to Patna wherein residents get a chance to enjoy water rides before taking part in the dandiya event from 12 noon to 12 midnight. The dandiya and garba events will start in the evening but people can enjoy the water rides prior it. People can get passes for the event by calling up 7070992381 and 7070992382," Rahul Kumar, the owner of the water park.
Hotel Clarks Inn (P&M Mall) in collaboration with Kingsman Event Private Limited is organising "Dandiya Raas" only for couples on October 10.
In the event, couples can check the compatibility with their partners in a quiz contest specially tailored for them. "There would be a best-couple award. Local DJ, Rishi, will help them groove. There is also a chance of winning surprise gifts through lucky draws," said Sumit Kumar, the food and beverages manager, Clarks Inn.
