Patna Municipal Corporation and the district administration have started an anti-mosquito fumigation drive in the wake of rising number of dengue cases.
Additional municipal commissioner Shrisat Kapil Ashok said fogging was done in Bankipore circle on Thursday and it would continue on Friday as well in the Kankerbagh areas. Vicinities in Patna City and Kadamkuan were fumigated on Wednesday. The fumigation initiative is being taken under the directives of health department’s principal secretary Deepak Kumar.
Ashok claimed that the civic body has started the repair works of several hand-held fogging machines to expedite the drive, which would continue for around a week.
