The CBSE has sought video footage of all necessary information from schools this year to prevent the institutions from providing fake information to acquire affiliation.
The information has been sought from schools interested in getting affiliated to the CBSE. A CBSE official at the Patna regional office said: “The schools that are interested in getting affiliated to the CBSE would have to submit a video compact disc (CD) comprising all the information related to the school. The details would include a group picture of the principal, teachers, laboratories, library and other such details. Every detail of the school would be required to get an affiliation.”
The official added: “The inspection committee, comprising two members, would visit the schools interested in affiliation. The CD would also have to feature the members from the committee, who would prove that they visited the school for verification. A detailed verification would be done so that no school can provide wrong information to the CBSE.”
