Patna, Feb. 20: Deputy chief minister Sushil Kumar Modi today announced the setting up of a global advisory council that would give suggestions to the Bihar government vis-à-vis its development agenda.
The council members would be chosen by various chapters of Bihar Foundation. These chapters are located in various states and even at the international-level. The council would meet at the interval of every one or two years to interact and give suggestions to the state government on how to carry forward the growth momentum.
“The three-day global summit, which ended yesterday, has helped a lot in creating a conducive atmosphere in the state. It has re-energised the people. Since it is not possible to conduct such a mammoth event every year, so the government has decided to set up the global advisory council that would come out with valuable suggestions,” Modi said.
He also released suggestions prepared on the basis of discussions held during workshops on various issues such as agriculture, tourism, education, cultural renaissance, industries during the three-day meet. Asian Development Research Institute member secretary Saibal Gupta explained the suggestions that came up during the meet.
