Annual day function of Oxbridge

Oxbridge Convent High School celebrated its 16th annual function on Sunday. The students presented a prayer and a cultural programme. School director Pankaj Kumar said: "Academics apart, we also lay emphasis on extracurricular activities of our students. Today's performance underlines the fact that our efforts have not gone in vain."?

Parents were happy to see their children perform. UK Singh and Radha Kumari got the best teacher and best student awards, respectively.

Palm Sunday

Masses and processions marked the Palm Sunday celebrations in the city. Churches across the city, including Catholic Church, Queen of the Apostles Church, Padri ki Haveli and Believers Church, celebrated the day to mark the triumphal entry of Jesus Christ in Jerusalem. It also marks the beginning of the holy week concluding on Easter Sunday. Father Jerome of Roman Catholic Archdiocese advised the followers to spread the message of love and brotherhood.

General meet

Bihar Health Services Association would hold its general body meeting on April 5. Chief minister Nitish Kumar has been invited to inaugurate the event. Association spokesperson Ranjit Kumar said: "We would put forth our stand regarding the ongoing strike of the contract doctors. We would ask the government to consider the issue of regularising their services."
