The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) on Saturday organised a road show in the state capital, calling upon people from the business sector to take part in EXCON-2015.
The fair, which is said to be the largest infrastructure-related fair in Southeast Asia, is organised every two years in Bangalore, officials at the CII said on Saturday.
"This time, the four-day fair will start from November 24. It would be among the biggest construction equipment and technology trade fairs in the world and the biggest in Southeast Asia. This is the eighth time the fair is being organised and 25 countries are slated to take part in the event. Though there are a few industrialists from Bihar who take part in the event, we want more participation from Bihar to know about the event and witness it. Hence, the CII, who are the main organisers of the event, are organising a road show here. The response is very good and all interested people would be given free passes to go and witness the event. The fair witnesses on-spot sale of equipment and the business community of Bihar should get exposure of the event," said Awnish Kumar Jha, an executive with the CII in Patna.
The fair would have a display area of 2,20,000sqm with more than 850 exhibitors participating in the event. Of them, 275 exhibitors come from abroad.
There would be pavilions from China, Germany, Italy, South Korea and Sweden with 32,000 business visitors. The event sees more than 200 product launches and international buying delegations as well as B2B meetings.
"This is for the first time that a road show in connection with the event is taking place in the state. Visiting or participating in the event would help the business community get a lot of exposure and interaction with the global business community. We hope people here would show interest," he added.
