The state labour department has rescued eight child labourers and arrested three traffickers from a bus stand near Sitamarhi, reports PTI, quoting an official on Sunday.
The police and labour officials rescued the eight child labourers from the bus stand on Saturday evening when they were on way to station to board a train for Ludhiana, labour superintendent Niraj Nayan said.
The traffickers, identified as Mohammad Shamsuddin, Mohammad Maqsood and Mahendra Kumar, were arrested and charged with relevant provisions of the law before being sent to jail, he said.
