Chalk your day, dodge Modi’s route

The state capital was turned into a virtual fortress by Friday to welcome Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday morning. Bamboo barricades came up on Bailey Road and Fraser Road on the route of his cavalcade. A security drill was carried out on Bailey Road around 11am on Friday, which brought traffic to a standstill.

The state capital was turned into a virtual fortress by Friday to welcome Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday morning. Bamboo barricades came up on Bailey Road and Fraser Road on the route of his cavalcade. A security drill was carried out on Bailey Road around 11am on Friday, which brought traffic to a standstill. Public entry was barred at Veterinary College ground and Sri Krishna Memorial Hall, where the PM is scheduled to take part in two official events.
