The Bihar Public School and Children Welfare Association led students of AVN Public School and St Columbus School and their parents to protest at the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) regional office on Monday.

The board has failed to publish the results of 176 students of Class X after cancelling its affiliation to AVN School.

Faryal Rumi talks to few agitated students whose future is at stake, concerned parents and some officials. #

Mudeet Meet

AVN School

"Since the results were declared, I visited my school and the CBSE office daily to enquire about my result but in futile. I asked CBSE regional officer Rashmi Tripathi and section officer Arvind Mishra but both told us they would not issue the result till the school authorities submit the accurate documents. But my school claims that all the documents were sent to the CBSE office through mail and by hand. Now, they claim that my admit card is forged. How can it be possible? It has the signature of the examination comptroller. The session for Class XI would start from next week and we are still fighting for our Class X results. Now, we would not be able to apply in any prominent city school."

Rashmi Tripathi

CBSE regional officer (Bihar and Jharkhand)

"Whatever they (the students) are saying is wrong. I have already told them that the documents they have submitted are wrong and incorrect. For the past two months, we have been telling the AVN School administration to submit the students' details to us but they are ignoring us. The CBSE headquarters formed a two-member panel to probe into this issue. They submitted their report last week. I hope the students' results would be issued by the end of this week. The results of those students whose admission registration numbers tallied with those mentioned in the submitted documents were declared."

Raina Roy

AVN School

"I studied very hard for my board exams and passed my exam with flying colours but did not get my result. I want to be a doctor but now my future is bleak because of the negligence of the CBSE and my school director. After scoring well in my board exam, I still cannot get admission in any CBSE school of Patna. Even, no coaching institute is giving me admission for lack of result. The CBSE officer is very fickle-minded. Every time we met her, she gave us a different explanation. First, she told us that information on our admit cards is incorrect, then she said it was fake and lastly, she claimed that our documents have been sent to the CBSE headquarters and the regional office does not have role to play in the publication of our results."

Sangeeta Roy

Regional officer Rashmi Tripathi told us: "We cannot do anything in this matter, you can do whatever you like to do but don't bother us." When she has nothing to do with the results, then why has she taken the position of regional officer?

RS Sharma

BPSCWA general secretary

"According to CBSE regional officer, the students' admit cards are fake and the information is incorrect. Then, how could 212 students of the same school get their results? You would find thousands of mistakes in DAV Public School and 13 schools in Patna got de-recognised this year. But CBSE only held back the results of students of this school.
