Police have intensified patrolling in and around Patna College to prevent a repeat of Saturday’s violence on the campus during which hostel boarders hurled crude bombs.

Pirbahore police station house officer S.A. Hashmi said: “Some of the troublemakers have been identified and they would be arrested soon.”

College principal R.B. Singh said disciplinary action would be taken against the students who indulged in violence. He said: “Maintaining peace on the campus is our prime concern.”
