Patna, July 29: The Mithapur bus stand, where work came to a halt after the murder of private bus owner Ravikant Choudhary a couple of days ago, started bookings again today for long routes.

“Yes, ticket bookings for the long distance buses have started,” said an employee of Krishna Rath Travels, which operates buses on Ranchi and Calcutta routes.

The shock of the crime was perceptible in the anguish of bus passengers and operators. “The incident proves passengers are not safe but we have no option. Mithapur bus stand is known to be an unlawful place. Why don’t police do anything about it?” asked Pankaj Kumar, a resident of Muzaffarpur.

The police refused to share any advancement in the case though sources said raids were on and some people were being interrogated.
