Wishes for CMs

Patna: BJP leader Sushil Kumar Modi congratulated Trivendra Singh Rawat and Yogi Adityanath who were appointed chief ministers of Uttarakhand and Uttar Pradesh, respectively, on Saturday.

Sushil will attend Yogi Adityanath's oath taking ceremony in Lucknow on Sunday.

Cash loot

Patna: Criminals escaped with Rs 12 lakh cash after damaging a Union Bank of India ATM located at Mahavir Colony under the jurisdiction of Beur police station on Friday night. Police said the criminals collected the cash after cutting the machine open with a gas cutter. No one has been arrested so far.

Opium haul

Patna: Sleuths from the Narcotics Control Bureau seized a little over 4kg of opium worth Rs 70 lakh during an operation at Somiya village in Gaya district on Friday. No one has been arrested, but an FIR was later lodged with the Barachatti police station against unidentified persons.

Gang-rape

Patna: A Dalit girl was allegedly gang-raped by three youths while returning home after attending a cultural show in Aurangabad on Friday. The accused - Mantu Yadav, Chandan Yadav and Ranjeet Yadav - are still absconding.

Raid

Patna: Sashastra Seema Bal personnel seized weapons during a raid at Bariya village under the jurisdiction of Manpur police station in West Champaran district on Friday. The weapons were found at the residences of Shatrughna Yadav and Suresh Yadav. They are absconding.
