Pledge

? Patna: Members of the Jankalyan Parishad Bihar took a pledge for women empowerment and self-reliance on the occasion of International Women's Day on Wednesday.

Food fest

? Patna: A food festival and cultural programme was organised on Wednesday at Institute of Hotel Management, Hajipur. The theme of the food fest was Bharat Ek Khoj, and diverse cuisines from different parts of country were served.

Workshop

? Patna: Canara bank regional staff training college, Patna, celebrated International Women's Day by organising a one-day workshop for women employees of the bank. The programme was inaugurated by G.K. Mahapatra, the bank's deputy general manager.

? Patna: Sewa Bihar (union) with the Centre of Gender Studies and Association for Study and Action celebrated International Women's Day at Gandhi Sangrahalaya. The women workers expressed their views about work and home, and demanded child care centres to keep their children safe while they are at work.
