HC help for Apna Ghar

Patna: A division bench of Patna high court, taking suo motu cognisance of a newspaper report about lack of basic facilities at Apna Ghar, on Tuesday directed the state government to provide the facilities to the special home run by social welfare department for underprivileged sections of society.

Patna: Amarjeet Kumar, an assistant sub-inspector with Patna police, was arrested by the vigilance investigation bureau for allegedly accepting Rs 10,000 as bribe from a man to help him in a case.

Munger: LJP MP from Munger Veena Devi on Tuesday alleged that RJD activists led by Santosh Yadav heckled her while she was listening to the woes of flood-victims in Mai panchayat of Munger Sadar block at the Krishi Bigyan Kendra hostel. Yadav denied the charge.
