Topper gives up

Patna, Aug. 22: Shaurabh Sreshtha, a topper in the Intermediate examination, surrendered before the special vigilance court in Patna on Monday. He was later granted bail by special vigilance judge Raghvendra Kumar Singh.

Rocky bail

Patna: Rocky Yadav, accused in the Gaya road rage case, was granted bail by the high court on Monday in a liquor recovery case from his house.

SBI e-corner

Patna: State Bank of India general manager, network I, Patna circle, Abhijeet Dutt on Monday inaugurated an e-corner at the Hanuman Nagar branch of the bank. Dutt said the e-corner will provide facilities such as pass book updates and deposit of electronic cheques.

Arrest

Patna: Shailendra Kumar, a resident of Vabhanpura in Phulwarisharif, was arrested for allegedly demanding Rs 1 crore from JDU leader Shyam Rajak as extortion money.
