Activist murder
Patna, Aug. 17: Golapar resident Ashok Jaiswal, a political activist close to the BJP, was shot at by unidentified men this evening. He died on way to hospital. Residents said the 52-year-old was chatting with a shopkeeper outside his home when six men came and shot at him from close range.

Patna: Chief minister Nitish Kumar on Wednesday condoled the death of CRPF commandant Pramod Kumar, a resident of Hakikatpur village in Bakhtiyarpur, who died during a gunfight with terrorists in Srinagar's Nowhatta area on Monday.
