Teacher dead

Munger, Aug. 13: Two persons shot dead Bijoy Sharma (50), a faculty member at SBN College, at Parham village, about 20km from the Munger district headquarters, this afternoon. Residents of the area blocked the Munger-Patna main road in protest.

Patna: St Xavier’s High School on Saturday organised an inter-school patriotic singing competition at which 23 city schools participated. Loyola 

High School won the junior category while Radiant International School won the senior category.

Patna: Bihar will get 179MW more from Stage I of the Nabinagar super thermal power plant, an energy department release said. The additional power has been allocated by the state government to alleviate the power situation.
