Clashes erupt

Patna, Aug. 6: Clashes erupted between two groups in Saran today, in which several people suffered injuries. Many shops and kiosks were attacked and torched. Two persons have been arrested.

The state government rushed special police forces as well as paramilitary forces, including Rapid Action Force (RAF), Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) and the ITBP to deal with the situation. Internet services in the district have been withdrawn till further orders.
