Dalit witch hunt
Darbhanga: An FIR was lodged on Tuesday with the Bahera police station by Aarti Devi, a Dalit woman, who was allegedly accused of being a witch. The resident of Peepara village was assaulted on July 25 by the accused Domu Yadav and his family, who allegedly attempted to urinate into Aarti's mouth.
Arrest
Patna: Patna police on Friday arrested a woman who had lured three minor girls on the pretext of employment and good results in their examinations, but forced them into sex trafficking instead. The girls were also raped by the woman's husband.
Burglary
Hajipur: An unidentified gang on Thursday night robbed half-a-dozen houses at Gaura village under the jurisdiction of Patepur police station and escaped with cash and valuables worth over Rs 10 lakh.
Dress code
Patna: The Bihar School Examination Board has decided to postpone the introduction of its employees' dress code from August 1 to September 1.
Order
Patna: Education minister Ashok Choudhary on Friday asked the Bihar School Examination Board to furnish a list of schools and intermediate colleges, which had been given affiliation in violation of the rules. He also asked for the names of the district education officers concerned with providing the wrongful affiliations.
Health rally
Patna, July 29: Nursing students of All India Institute of Medical Sciences-Patna took part in an awareness rally today to mark World Breastfeeding Week. The students later visited a high school in Phuliatola to make the students and teachers aware about safe breastfeeding practices.

Patna: Kala Jagran artistes staged three plays on Friday based on Tukre Tukre Mein Aurat, Aksa and Safar written by Mamta Mehrotra. Theatre artiste Suman Kumar directed the play.
