NCW submits report
Patna: National Commission for Women member Sushma Sahu on Tuesday met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Delhi and briefed him about the recent rape incidents in Bihar.
Sahu had submitted a detailed report to the PMO on an alleged gang-rape of a 17-year-old girl at Ramgharwa in East Champaran district. She expressed deep anguish over the manner in which local police and officials of the health department dealt with the case.
Salary stop
Chhapra: District magistrate Dipak Anand on Tuesday issued an order to stop salaries of primary health centre in-charges and block health managers of seven blocks stating that their works regarding the Indradhanush programme was not satisfactory. The DM also warned of taking stern action if regular immunisation programmes were not taken seriously.
