Toddy protest kidnap

Hajipur: A minor girl was allegedly kidnapped for opposing the sale of toddy in front of her ancestral house at Mathna Milki village on Saturday.

The victim's relative lodged an FIR against six persons. The girl was abducted while she was returning home from Mahua College on her bicycle.

Arrest

Aurangabad: Dipak Kumar was arrested from Jamhaur on Sunday for allegedly demanding Rs 80 lakh from SP Baburam and threatening to blow up the local police station. Police said Dipak, a resident of Kurba village, had sent an SMS demanding money.

Patna: Police claimed to have solved the murder of trader Manoj Kumar Chaurasia following the arrest of Rahul and Akhilesh from Alamganj police station area of Patna City on Sunday.

Body found

Darbhanga: The body of 11-year-old Trilok was found in the Bagmati river in Darbhanga on Sunday. According to deputy superintendent of police (DSP) Dilnawaj Ahmad, the boy might have slipped in to the river and drowned.
