Fraud case
Patna: Special CBI judge Justice Manoj Kumar Singh on Tuesday held two persons including then Punjab National Bank (Amas Branch, Gaya) manager Duryodhan Tanti guilty in a fraud case. The court will pronounce quantum of punishment on November 1.

Patna: State Bank of India chief general manager Ajit Sood asked all employees to devote at least two hours a day on a fortnight-long sanitation drive launched on Tuesday.

Patna: The Reserve Bank of India on Tuesday organised a programme of financial literacy for BBA students at Patna Women's College. RBI regional director Manoj Kumar Verma addressed the participants and explained several points related to demonetisation of Rs 500 and Rs 1000 currency notes.
Cops shot at
Patna: A retired assistant sub-inspector Ashok Kumar and his son were arrested for allegedly opening fire on a police team deployed to remove encroachments at Adalatganj under the jurisdiction of Kotwali police station on Tuesday. No one was injured in the firing.
Mob attack
Patna: The police were criticised for accusing an undertrial prisoner Vidhan Kumar, alias Vidhan Rai, of inciting a mob which attacked the house of a retired IAS officer at Rupaspur near Danapur on November 10. In addition, a differently-abled person, identified as Rishidev Rai, was made accused in the rioting case. The mob had attacked the former bureaucrat's house after the recovery of a youth's body.

Patna: Obstetric and Gynaecological Society will organise BOGSCON, a three-day conference, from November 18 to November 20. Experts attending the conference are expected to discuss the increase in cases of infertility and abnormal uterine bleeding.
