Nitish conveys grief

Patna: Chief minister Nitish Kumar on Sunday expressed his condolences on the death of Jagdish Lal, JDU leader of Uttar Pradesh and former MLA.

He extended his sympathies to the bereaved family and prayed for the peace of the departed soul.

CM's wish

Patna: Chief minister Nitish Kumar on Sunday - the eve of Guru Nanak Jayanti - wished the people of the state, and said that the Sikh guru's teachings must be upheld among all sections of society. "May the bond of amity and integrity be strengthened as a mark of respect to Guru Nanak," he said.

Carnival

Patna: Seth MR Jaipuria School, Patna, on Sunday organised the Jaipuria Carnival, 2016. The event was organised with much fanfare as students and parents participated in different events.

Patna: A new VLCC centre will open on Monday in Muzaffarpur. The centre will provide all the beauty and wellness needs, including weight management and dermatology, a press note issued by VLCC stated on Sunday.

Health camp

Patna: The state branch of the Indian Medical Association organised a free diabetes detection and retinal examination camp on the eve of World Diabetes Day on Sunday. The camp was organised in collaboration with All India Opthalmological Society.
