Trader shot at

Muzaffarpur, Nov. 12: Motorcycle-borne criminals shot at trader Basant Kumar near Dharampur village on NH-77 under Minapur police station and looted a moneybag containing Rs 1 lakh today.

Basant, who runs a civil store in Minapur, was riding a motorcycle on way to Runnisaidpur in Sitamarhi district to deposit the money.

Mob ire

Darbhanga: Residents of Kewatgama panchayat of Kusheshwarsthan village (east) on Saturday ransacked the police station and stormed into two banks protesting the murder of mukhiya Ram Chandra Yadav.

Crime claim

Darbhanga: Police on Saturday claimed that there had been a dip in the crime graph during the past six months. According to details issued by the department, the graph between April-October 2016 stands better than the one during the same period last year.
