Maoist slain

Patna, Jan. 30: Jamui police claimed to kill a Maoist, Chirag, in an encounter in the Asrakha jungle under the jurisdiction of Charkapathar police station last night.

The police said an assistant superintendent of police suffered minor injuries in the encounter. Chirag carried a bounty of Rs 5 lakh on his head.

Boy found

Patna: Police on Saturday recovered four-year-old Rishikesh, who went missing from near his Ram Krishna Nagar house on December 13. Ashirvad Devi was arrested in the connection. In another case, Partrakar Nagar police lodged a kidnapping FIR related to the disappearance of Indrajit Kumar (16) from Thursday. The Nalanda resident used to study in Patna.
