Six killed

Buxar: Six persons were killed and 20 others injured when a bus carrying members of a wedding party fell into a roadside ditch near Nikarit village on Buxar-Sasaram road early on Sunday.

Police said the accident occurred when the victims were returning to Dehri-on-Sone in Rohtas district after the wedding.

Munger: About 2,000 health employees on contract of the regional programme management, district programme management and block health managements of Munger district will go on an indefinite strike from June 1.

Patna: Senior BJP leader Sushil Kumar Modi on Sunday wrote to the accountant general, vigilance department and Central Vigilance Commission demanding action into alleged irregularities in the purchase of transformers and other gadgets without proper tender. Modi said Rs 37.2 crore had been lost and an inquiry should be set up.
