Help for quake victims

Patna, May 5: Road construction minister Rajiv Ranjan, alias Lalan Singh, and road construction department principal secretary Arun Kumar Singh today donated Rs 1 crore to the chief minister’s relief fund on the behalf of Bihar State Road Development Corporation Limited. 
MLC Sanjiv Kumar Singh handed over a cheque of Rs 75,000.

Hajipur: Criminals looted Rs 7.5 lakh from an employee of an LPG distributor near Chauhatta under the jurisdiction of Hajipur Town police station on Tuesday. Police said the men opened fire in the air to terrorise the passers-by.

Patna: Middle-aged Hareraam Kumar went missing from his Beur residence on Monday. A missing informatory was lodged on Tuesday.

Patna: JDU MLC and spokesperson Sanjay Singh on Tuesday attacked BJP senior leader and former deputy chief minister Sushil Kumar Modi over his comment on the merger of Janata parivar. 

Abductions

Patna: Islampur MLA and spokesperson of Hindustani Awam Morcha Rajiv Ranjan on Tuesday attacked chief minister Nitish Kumar and alleged that abductions had risen manifold in the state ever since the JDU and the RJD came together. 

Finger at CM

Patna: Rashtriya Lok Samata Party national secretary Seema Saxena on Tuesday slammed the state government over contract teachers’ issue and alleged chief minister Nitish Kumar for delaying the matter.

Patna: Agriculture minister Vijay Kumar Chaudhary on Tuesday warned that officers would face strict action if found not performing their duties in the distribution of grants to people whose crop has been damaged in the storm.
