Frauds in net

Patna (PTI): At least 1,000 people were arrested as some other person impersonated them during the written examination and physical test for recruitment of police constables, an officer said on Sunday. So far 1,068 candidates, out of those who cleared the written examinations held last year and were to take the physical test, have been arrested over the past two weeks during the screening of their documents.

Workers killed

Jehanabad: Two daily wagers and Uttar Pradesh residents, Vijay Lal and Mohan Kumar, were killed at a brick kiln unit at Manpur village in Jehanabad late on Saturday night.

Muzaffarpur: Four criminals barged into the house of JDU MLA from Minapur Dinesh Prasad at Benaras Bank Chowk on Sunday and allegedly assaulted his daughter-in-law Rekha Devi.

Dowry deaths

Sasaram: A middle-aged woman and her infant daughter were burnt to death allegedly by her husband for dowry at Hariwanshpur village in Rohtas on Saturday night.
