Court order
Patna: A high court division bench of acting Chief Justice Iqbal Ahmed Ansari and justice Chakradhari Sharan Singh on Wednesday directed the state government to submit a report in the court stating the number of unregistered diagnostic centres running across the state.
The order was passed while hearing a writ petition filed by one Manish Kumar who had claimed that a large number of diagnostic centres running in the state are unregistered and demanded action against them.
Branch shift
Patna: The Mokama and Maranchi branches of the Punjab National Bank were shifted to their new premises. The function was presided over by PNB divisional head K.N. Verma who urged the customers to avail the services being provided by the bank.
Health camp
Patna: A health camp to suggest ways for getting rid of heart-related ailments will be organised in Patna on December 26 and 27. The camp will be organised at Hotel Chanakya by Adhyatmik Satsang Samiti with support from Imam Foundation, Calcutta.

Patna, Dec. 9: Supaul police on Wednesday claimed Dr Manjay Kumar, who was found in Siwan on Tuesday after going missing, had planned his own abduction.
He owed money to a lot of people and planned the abduction to avoid paying up.

Patna: Canara Bank will hold a Rashtriya Lok Adalat on December 12 in every district court of the state.

Patna: Public Awareness for Healthful Approach for Living organised a cancer prevention programme on Wednesday.
Arrest
Patna: Police on Wednesday nabbed three criminals from a gang of thieves involved in car theft and recovered a stolen SUV from them. The gang used to supply stolen vehicles to Bengal, Mumbai, Assam and other north-eastern states, said the police.
In another incident, the police arrested one from a gang involved in counterfeit currency business from a mobile shop on Exhibition Road with fake notes of Rs 57,000 face value.
