Book fair in trouble
Patna, Dec. 4: Indian Regional Journalist Association accused the district administration of forcibly shutting down its book fair today though it had taken all permissions.
The fair was supposed to continue till December 9.

Patna: Police resorted to firing to disperse after a irate mob indulged in stone pelting and arson near Rampur check post on NH-31 in Kishanganj on Friday, in protest against rash driving. The accident led to the death of six students of a public school on Thursday. Three people were injured.

Munger: The town came to a standstill on Friday as traders downed their shutters and staged protests after a plaque bearing the name of late Deen Dayal Upadhyay was damaged by some criminals.

Buxar: A 14-year-old boy was arrested on Friday for allegedly outraging the modesty of a minor girl on Thursday when she was alone at home.
Surrender
Gaya: Bhola Mistri, a Maoist, surrendered on Friday under operation Vishwas launched by Gaya police to encourage the surrender of Naxalites.
Lawyers' strike
Bhagalpur: Courts could not conduct work on Friday as members of Bhagalpur District Bar Association (BDBA) observed a strike against the alleged manhandling of senior lawyer Anand Mohan Jha on November 28.
